  1. Some sysops have had minor problems getting the door to run. Here is a list
  2. of some that I can remember!

  4. "Bad record number" - Check your KING.USR file it must be 40,500 bytes
  5.  
  6. "Invalid file name" - Had questions.dat instead of question.dat
  7.  
  8. "Overflow" or "Keyboard timeouts" - This one is strange. It seems that it
  9. occurs on 486 machines and mostly on 486DX2's. The problem started when I
  10. started compiling the door on a 486DX/50. I have to get some answers here
  11. but it sems that it maybe the math co causing it. I have tried setting mine
  12. off but the compiler turns it back on. if you have this problem try this, it
  13. seemed to work for others. In the batch file that you bring up the Door:

  16. KING KING.CFG
  17. set no87=

  19. This stopped the problem for now. I will continue to pursue this and find
  20. the cause.
